Many Aston Villa fans were very frustrated with Trezeguet following his performance in the 2-1 loss against West Ham United.
The Egyptian only has one assist so far this season in the top flight. Despite this, he has produced a decent attacking threat, managing 2.4 shots, one key pass and 1.1 successful dribbles per game (WhoScored).
However, it is easy to see why fans were not pleased with the Egyptian following the fixture in east London. He missed a huge chance when Villa were 2-1 down (SofaScore), while he also lost possession five times and lost eight of his 13 duels (62%) – four on the ground and four in the air.
With summer signing Ross Barkley injured, players like Trezeguet need to step up and help Jack Grealish. The captain scored and picked up an 8.9 rating, whilst Trezeguet only picked up a 6.9 rating (SofaScore).
Villa are expected to face Newcastle next on Friday, although there are genuine concerns that game could be off after an outbreak at the Tyneside club.
