Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern firmly believe their side is going to get promotion next season which just highlights the change in morale right now.
Not too long ago our Villans punters were looking into their pint glasses with pretty glum faces as their club once again struggled with no real direction or hope earlier this year.
Since Steve Bruce has come in, though, things have really turned around and you can sense that this giant of English football is ready to go again.
Indeed, they’re looking to work up a serious head of steam before the end of this campaign so they can arrive like a train in 2017/18 and return to the top flight.
They’ll need as many boosts as they can get, then, and it appears they’ve been handed a bumper one ahead of the run-in – as confirmed by the club’s Twitter account:
