Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern think they’ll be safely mid-table this season now and after the way things have gone in this campaign they’re pretty happy to accept that.
Indeed, the Championship club have been on a roller-coaster ride this season flirting with both relegation and the play-off places at different stages.
They’ll be eager, then, to have a better season next year and our local Villa punters here by the bar are certainly keen to see Scott Hogan lead the charge.
Signed in the January window, the former Brentford man has struggled with an injury at Villa Park but news via Gregg Evans on Twitter and The Birmingham Mail has suggested that he could soon be back in action:

His ankle has reportedly healed quicker than expected and he might be available for the trip to Wigan in just over a week’s time.
