Jones is out of contract in the summer with his Scottish Premiership club Kilmarnock and free to talk to foreign clubs from the New Year.
The 24-year-old came close to opening his international goalscoring account for Michael O’Neill’s men against the Republic on Thursday only to be denied by a great Darren Randolph save.
