Aston Villa took to Twitter late on Thursday evening to share an injury update on summer signing Leon Bailey.

And, as to be expected, their official post led to a number of Villa fans giving their thoughts to the news.

Bailey made his first Villa Park appearance last weekend in a 3-0 win over Everton, netting his first goal for the club to seal an impressive cameo display.

The 24-year-old came on for Matt Targett after the hour mark but then had to be withdrawn 21 minutes for Ashley Young with a muscle injury.

Dean Smith has now confirmed that the Jamaican’s injury is now likely to keep him out of action until after the international break.

The Villa boss also added that midfielder Morgan Sanson is also set to be sidelined for a month after picking up a hamstring problem against Chelsea in the week.
