Aston Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern will want their side to finish the campaign as strongly as possible when they meet Millwall at the weekend, although they know that the result will not influence their final-standing in the Championship.
The Villans have secured a place in the play-offs and it is believed that Steve Bruce could decide to use the final fixture as an opportunity to rest a number of his key players before the play-offs get underway.
The match against the Lions could also prove to be vital for those that are lacking in match fitness or are just returning from injury, although the game looks to have come too early for one midfield star.

The club announced via Twitter that Birkir Bjarnason is close to regaining full fitness, however, it is unlikely he will feature against Millwall on Sunday. Despite the bad news that he will most likely be unavailable, the locals will be boosted that he is likely to be ready for first-team action when they challenge for a place in the top-flight.
Landlord’s Verdict
The Iceland international has grown into an important member of the squad and the Villa fans in the Tavern will be delighted that he is nearing a return at the right time. His determination and work-rate could be the difference between them being promoted or remaining in the Championship next season.
