Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern are certainly looking forward to seeing who their side is going to sign in the summer window when it opens for business.
The Villans clearly have one of the biggest budgets in the Championship and so it would make sense to expect them to utilise that to get themselves into the Premier League.
Indeed, Steve Bruce is surely going to get some new faces in to make sure they challenge for promotion and it appears that the interest in Sam Johnstone is still prevalent.
That, at least, is according to Gregg Evans on Twitter who posted:

Johnstone had a fine campaign in 2016/17 when on loan at Villa and would surely be welcomed back with open arms by the club’s players and fans alike.
Time, though, will only tell with this one.
