Once Aston Villa do manage to get some new players through the door, most of them are likely to only arrive on loan.
Aston Villa’s current financial situation means signing players on permanent deals is impractical and, as a result, individuals available for loan are being pursued.
And one target manager Steve Bruce has lined up is Manchester United defender Axel Tuanzebe, who spent the second half of last season on loan at the club.
According to the Birmingham Mail, Bruce is keen on bringing the £900k-rated (via Transfermarkt) 20-year-old back to Villa Park as he looks to replace John Terry and find a new partner for James Chester in the centre of defence.
Tuanzebe only made five appearances during his time with Villa due to injury and, at the age of 20, is yet to accomplish much at senior level.
It would be an uninspiring signing, even considering the predicament Villa find themselves in, so it is understandable that supporters are not exactly jumping for joy.
Take a look at Villa fans’ overall thoughts on Tuanzebe’s potential arrival at Villa Park here…
No thanks, no more quick hits….BUILD something.

Tuanzebe? No better than anything we've got already, unless he's a better centre back than any of us realises. He's certainly not needed at right back.
