Plenty of Aston Villa fans have reacted over footage shared by Brazilian striker Wesley, who has been recovering from an injury.
With the club gaining promotion to the Premier League last season, beating Derby County via the Championship play-off final, boss Dean Smith opted to bring in the former Club Brugge man.
Netting an impressive 17 goals in 48 games for the Belgian club last term, the 23-year-old initially struggled to adapt to English football before finding the back of the net on five occasions in England’s top flight. After seemingly finding his feet, though, Wesley picked up an injury at the beginning of 2020 and it was expected that the striker would be out for the remainder of the season.
However, with the recent postponement in fixtures due to the coronavirus pandemic, the Brazilian is now stepping up his recovery and may yet return to action if the Villa Park outfit find a way around a Premier League ruling which means he and injured keeper Tom Heaton may not be able to feature again this term.

Looks like he’s really limping when running. That’s a bit concerning.

Horrific injury to have sustained in his first season in English football.
Let’s just hope that he manages a full recovery 🙏— Andy Morris (@PrettyGreen73) May 16, 2020
Can’t see Villa entertaining the idea he will play this season, if it restarts. 🤞 for start of pre season.
