Ansu Fati has had a whirlwind season so far, and we’re only two months in.
The teenager has been drafted in after an early injury crisis hit the Barcelona dressing room, which has seen the likes of Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Ousmane Dembele all ruled out of action in recent weeks.
Manager Ernesto Valverde was forced into seeking help from the club’s squad players, with 16-year-old Fati thrown into the deep end for the Blaugrana’s league games against Real Betis, Osasuna and Valencia.
The young winger also started Barca’s 0-0 draw with Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday night but made way for the returning Lionel Messi on the hour mark.
He has seemingly won over fans of the Spanish club with his mature performances in the prestigious red and blue, scoring twice and assisting once in the club’s recent two La Liga outings, per Transfermarkt, with there already being questions marks over who is more effective on the left-hand side of the Spanish champions’ front-three; Fati or Dembele? (per Marca,)
Now, according to reports from ESPN, Barca want the young starlet to stay in Catalonia throughout October and November, instead of representing Spain at the upcoming Under-17s World Cup.
These fans aren’t in agreement with their club, however.

They should leave the Lil kid
It’s not like he’s going to be a starter or something— Flyboy.Stunner👑 (@Flyboyyy21) September 19, 2019
Man! Let him go for God’s sake. The media will ruin his career by portraying him with a picture not his. He lacks so much needed experience. He has talent, but he needs experience, and must not gain that in UCL, as Valverde naively did.

Makes more sense to let him go! He did amazingly well but no point rushing him into regular 1dt team football

No point. All our injured players are back and Perez can be the backup to our big name forwards. Let fati play some international football with players his age. it’ll do him good.
