Real Madrid scouting “complete” Bournemouth star

Bournemouth could have another major transfer battle on their hands, with one of their most important players now attracting attention from one of the biggest clubs in European football.

The Cherries have managed to keep hold of Alex Scott despite strong interest from several Premier League sides, but the midfielder’s rapid rise has now caught the eye of Real Madrid.

His emergence for England has only strengthened his reputation, with the 23-year-old making his senior debut before starting in the 7-0 victory over Croatia.

Real Madrid Scouting Alex Scott

According to 4-4-2, Real Madrid have watched Scott live on at least three occasions as they assess the Bournemouth midfielder. The Spanish giants are reportedly impressed by his profile and have now added him to their list of potential targets.

Real Madrid are not the only club monitoring the England international. Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal are also interested, while AC Milan have been keeping tabs on the midfielder too. TEAMtalk has likewise reported that Madrid scouts have watched Scott closely and that the club could consider making a move in 2027.

For Bournemouth, the immediate priority is keeping their midfielder. The Cherries are reportedly not interested in selling Scott during the January transfer window and would instead like to extend his current contract, which runs until 2028.

However, Bournemouth are understood to recognise that keeping him indefinitely could prove difficult. A major bidding battle could develop next summer, with 4-4-2 claiming the club would demand between £80m and £85m for his services.

Scott has certainly given Bournemouth plenty of reason to value him so highly. He has established himself as a key part of their midfield and is capable of carrying the ball, controlling possession and contributing defensively.

His progress was further highlighted during the latest international break, when England boss Thomas Tuchel praised his performances and suggested he can compete with established midfielders for a starting place, describing him as a “complete” midfielder.

Unfortunately for Bournemouth, Scott’s international breakthrough has also come with an injury setback. He suffered a thigh problem during the win over Croatia and could be unavailable for a significant period, providing another concern for the Cherries during a busy spell.

For now, Bournemouth remain in control of Scott’s future. But with Real Madrid now watching closely alongside several Premier League rivals, the pressure on the Cherries could become considerably greater next summer.
