Bournemouth have a huge summer ahead after securing European football for the first time in their history with an impressive sixth-place Premier League finish.
However, there are already major challenges on the horizon. The Cherries are searching for a new manager following Andoni Iraola’s departure, while strengthening the squad for the demands of a Europa League campaign will be essential.
Keeping hold of their top talent could prove just as difficult.
Several Bournemouth stars have attracted interest after their breakthrough season, and it now appears one of the club’s brightest young players is firmly on Bayern Munich’s radar.
Bayern Targeting Kroupi
Bayern Munich are reportedly keeping close tabs on Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi ahead of a potential summer move.
The 19-year-old, described as “frightening” by team-mate James Hill, has enjoyed a remarkable debut campaign in English football since arriving from Lorient last summer in a deal worth around £10 million.
Kroupi finished the season with 13 Premier League goals in 33 appearances, establishing himself as one of the division’s most exciting young attackers and playing a key role in Bournemouth’s historic push into Europe.
Reports in Germany claim Bayern scouts have been monitoring the France Under-21 international closely as they assess attacking targets ahead of the new season.
His versatility is believed to be a major attraction, with Kroupi capable of operating across the front line while also offering pace, movement and a natural eye for goal.
Bayern are expected to strengthen their attacking options this summer, and Kroupi is understood to be among the emerging talents under consideration.
Bournemouth, though, are under no pressure to sell and would reportedly demand a fee in excess of £70 million before entertaining offers.
With interest also emerging from elsewhere in Europe and the Premier League, the Cherries could face a battle to keep hold of one of their most valuable assets.
