Barcelona: Many fans are surprised to see Ansu Fati on the Golden Boy award shortlist

Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati has been included in the 20 man shortlist for the 2019 Golden Boy Award, as reported by BBC Sport.

This sees the 16-year-old up against the likes of Matthijs de Ligt, Jadon Sancho and Joao Felix for the award, with barcacentre sending their congratulations to la Masia product:

However, there are many Barca fans who have been less complimentary, as they are shocked about the decision to have him included in the list.

After all, this is a player who has made just 2 starts and 4 substitute appearances in senior football, even if he has got 2 goals and 1 assist in that time, as per WhoScored.

It says something that even Barcelona fans are finding this questionable, while still not doubting his talent, with Samu Chukwueze being cited as one player who probably should have got in ahead of Fati.
