Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern are seriously looking forward to seeing their side challenge for promotion this season.
Though the Villans didn’t win at the weekend last time out in the Championship they played some good stuff and they should only get stronger once the club sees the new players bed in completely.
Meanwhile, the squad’s depth was demonstrated last night as they beat Colchester in the Carabao Cup to progress into tonight’s second round draw.
Certainly, that game gave Steve Bruce the chance to field some of his younger players and more recent signings with loan star Josh Onomah getting his first taste of action for the club.
The winger joined the Villans from Spurs earlier in this window on a temporary deal and after his debut for the club he tweeted about it – leaving many to react:
