Newcastle United manager Rafa Benitez is looking at using his contacts to bring a high-profile name to the club once again and the fans in the Transfer Tavern will be hoping he can achieve the feat.
The Spaniard is keen to make a number of additions to his side but will know he has limited resources available to bring in the targets he has this summer. However, according to reports, he could be prepared to look at the loan market and use his links at a former club to bring someone to St. James’ Park.
The Newcastle Chronicle are claiming that Benitez will look to use Chelsea again for some temporary quality to help them reach their aims for the upcoming season. It is believed that they would like to bring Kenedy back or a loan deal for Ruben Loftus-Cheek following his impressive spell for Crystal Palace.
However, there has also been claims that he would be willing to look at having Kasey Palmer as well, should the other two be unavailable.
Landlord’s Verdict
The Newcastle fans in the Tavern will be pleased that Benitez will look to try and bring one of the mentioned targets to the north-east this summer, as it will allow them to spend more money on another target, whilst getting the best from a proven player.
