Despite being the Monday Night Football game, Chelsea fans here in the Football Transfer Tavern are having a busy weekend and that is down to the Sunday Express.

The latest bit of gossip from the publication is not the best news for the Blues however, with top defensive target Sergio Ramos claiming that he will NOT be linking up with Jose Mourinho once again – despite some issues with contract talks at Real Madrid.

Ramos handed his former manager a blow and claimed: ‘Despite what has been said money has never been my main concern.

‘My extension depends on my happiness here in Madrid and especially the will of the president.

‘At the moment, this is the least of my problems and I let my agent take care of it.

‘I still gave two years left on my contract and I intend to stay at Real Madrid, a club that gave me everything in my career.’

As our regulars note, Ramos could not have been clearer in his comments and seems to have put links with Chelsea to bed – at least until his renegotiation contract talks with Real Madrid really get going!
