Fortunately, their night was made even better beyond their own result – with Atletico Madrid taking on Roma whilst the Blues were taking on their opponents. The game, which Atletico Madrid were considered favourites for, ended in a 0-0 draw – much to the joy of the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern.
It was the perfect result for the club, and it leaves the Blues firmly ahead of the rest of the pack at this early stage.
