Middlesbrough are continuing their dominance in the Championship and look to be one of the better-suited teams to arrive back into the top flight.
With a manager full of experience in Championship and Premier League football, Tony Pulis will have all the confidence in the world that he can bring Middlesbrough back up a division.
They also have a very talented group of players, that are the best defenders in the league by way of statistics and have a potent attack capable of hurting any opposition.
Still though, there is more that could be done to ensure Middlesbrough are a better team and have more squad depth to consistently perform.
Ryan Shotton is the club’s only right-back, which could lead to Pulis thinking he would be better signing a back-up like Tottenham’s Kyle Walker-Peters to contest that position as well.
Walker-Peters, who is valued at £2.7 million on Transfermarkt, is a very talented youngster that needs a chance elsewhere to prove his immense potential to Tottenham.
The England U21 star has made just one appearance for the first team this season, highlighting the need for him to join the other English youngsters in going out on-loan to get regular time on the pitch.
Ever since he arrived on the scene last season, Walker-Peters has been a very bright talent, who given the chance, always puts a good shift in.
Whilst only still 21, the need for back-up at Middlesbrough is great and that could even quickly realise that Kyle Walker-Peters would currently be the best option they have available.
He can play left-back, as well as right-back, making him a versatile star that could bring a lot more quality to Boro’s defence.
