Bruce to make changes ahead of Yeovil trip

Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce

Aston Villa will travel to Yeovil Town on Tuesday night as they look to continue their fine start to the season.

Steve Bruce’s side have a 100% record in the Championship so far this year and he will be keen his side do not slip up to lower league opposition when they turn their attention to the League Cup.

The Villans are expected to make a number of changes to their side for the clash with the League Two side and according to a match preview by Sky Sports, they could hand out a number of starts, whilst also giving a number of senior players the night off.

Andre Moreira, who joined on loan from Atletico Madrid, Albert Adomah, Conor Hourihane and Neal Taylor are all players who could make starts for Bruce’s side.

However, it is believed Mile Jedinak, Alan Hutton, Jack Grealish and Andre Green could all be given the opportunity to rest and prepare for their next Championship fixture with Ipswich Town at the weekend.

The game is likely to have come to quickly for Scott Hogan and Keinan Davis, with both continuing their recovery from injuries.

The Verdict:

Aston Villa have already had a solid start to the season and will be looking for their form to continue on Tuesday.

Bruce will be keen to see his side navigate the potential banana skin the League Two outfit can offer and will also want to get a closer look at some of his other players.

With Moreira a possibility to make his debut and with others who do not get regular minutes in the first-team, there will be a number of players on the pitch aiming to impress.
