According to the Daily Mirror, Liverpool’s Director of Football Damien Comolli is a huge admirer of West Brom midfielder Chris Brunt.

Baggies boss Roy Hodgson wants to offer the Northern Irish international a new contract to ward off the likes of Liverpool and Aston Villa, who are also believed to be interested, according to the paper.

Hodgson made the 26 year old captain when he first arrived at the Hawthorns and is keen to keep him part of the team’s plans as they head into next season in the Premier League.
