‘Can’t wait to have him back’ - Arsenal fans on Twitter loving club’s video

The Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern have been looking back at Santi Cazorla’s incredible free-kick against Hull City in the FA Cup in 2014. The Spaniard bent a sublime effort into the top-corner to half Arsenal’s deficit to just one after the Gunners suffered an awful start to the game, finding themselves 2-0 down inside just eight minutes.

Arsenal went on to win the FA Cup that year 3-2 in extra-time after Laurent Koscielny equalised before Aaron Ramsey sealed the win with his 109th-minute strike. Rewatching the goal has had the Arsenal fans wishing that they could have their little magician back and fit soon. Cazorla has missed 18 months of football, last playing in October 2016, with plantar fasciitis.

If Arsenal could get Cazorla back to full fitness he would slot straight into the starting eleven. The 33-year-old would partner both Granit Xhaka or Aaron Ramsey with ease and would provide the club with creativity from a much deeper position. If he could get back on the pitch he would be allowing the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil to have a more free role. The next Arsenal gaffer has a real job on his hands with Cazorla as he’ll need to decide whether to cut their losses on the veteran midfielder or persist in the hope he can play again.
