Chelsea legend Frank Lampard’s future is often the subject of fierce debate in the Football Transfer Tavern with many Blues supporters believing that the 34-year-old is still good enough to play regularly in the Premier League.
One man who appears to share the same opinion is former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho and with The Special One looking all set to return to Stamford Bridge for next season that could see the England international offered a lifeline in his Chelsea career.

Lampard, who is two goals away from breaking the all-time goalscoring record at the Bridge, could be given another chance under Mourinho despite Roman Abramovich remaining desperate to get his large weekly-wages out of the club. The Real Madrid boss is reported to be demanding £12 million-a-year to join the Blues and also wants to have a final say on all transfers and any high-profile departures which may see Frank stay at the club for at least another season.
