Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are surprised to hear reports that suggest under-fire manager Jose Mourinho is already preparing for a future away from the club, seemingly accepting his fate is sealed.
The Independent state Mourinho’s representatives have started to sound-out a move to Paris Saint-Germain, should Roman Abramovich wield the axe in West London, whilst a return to Inter Milan has also been explored.
Mourinho is currently staring down the barrel of a dismissal from the Premier League side after an embarrassing start to the season, which has seen the Blues lose five of their opening ten matches in the league; as well as unimpressive results in Europe.
With The Daily Mirror stating Mourinho is ‘on the brink’, supporters at the bar are preparing themselves for an imminent departure of their boss; which they state they are pleased with after his inexcusable behaviour this season.
As well as the poor results making the back pages, Mourinho has also made headlines for his scathing attack on former first-team doctor Evar Carneiro and alleged aggressive behaviour towards young Chelsea fans, as well as numerous comments towards match officials.
