The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are desperate to see a few young players come into the Chelsea first team…

For so long, the Blues have become renowned in the Transfer Tavern for their lack of focus on youth prospects – with managers in the past often opting to sign big money players ahead of utilising what is already at the club.

This is a theme that is beginning to change under Antonio Conte. In Victor Moses, the Italian has taken a player that was cast to the sidelines by managers in the past, and in exchange for an opportunity – the Nigerian has flourished.

Following on from that success. it seems likely that Conte will offer further opportunities to fringe players and youngsters, and at Chelsea – there are a host of options to choose from.

With that said, Chelsea fans need to seriously start getting excited about these 2 emerging young stars…

 Charly Musonda

Charly Musonda is coming off of the back of a pretty disappointing second season on loan at Real Betis, but it’s not all bad for the young Belgian.

He looked fantastic during his first season in Spain, and that surely gave the Chelsea brass hope that he could come good in the future.

Interestingly, Conte opted to keep the youngster around at Stamford Bridge for the second half of the season instead of loaning him out, which may suggest that he has big plans for him.

A quick, technical attacking midfielder – Musonda is certainly a player that can generate excitement.

 Nathaniel Chalobah

Nathaniel Chalobah has been around for a while, and most Chelsea fans know who he is – but it is his role under Conte that is exciting.

For the first time, the Englishman has been given a real foundation at the club – often featuring in the Blues first team.

The Chelsea fans in the Tavern have been longing for an English player to follow in the footsteps of John Terry, and whilst Ruben Loftus-Cheek appears to have fallen behind in the pecking order – Chalobah seems to have come to the forefront.
