It just isn’t working out for Gonzalo Higuain at Chelsea, is it? The Argentine striker, who has been so dangerous across the course of his career with the likes of Real Madrid, Napoli and Juventus, has just not got to grips with the pace of the Premier League as he again flopped in a top-flight game in England yesterday.

After what felt like an eternity, Higuain was put out of his misery by Maurizio Sarri when he was hooked just five minutes after the hour mark in their 2-0 loss away at Goodison Park. In fairness to the Argentine, his replacement for the final 25 minutes, Olivier Giroud, was just as ineffective as he was, although that probably won’t provide too much comfort to a man who’s been brought in to score goals and who has just three in ten games.
The way things are going, it looks like the Blues will be adding Higuain’s name to a long list of strikers who have flopped at Stamford Bridge. Confidence looks to be a real issue with the 31-year-old, and as we edge closer to the end of the season the chances are that Juventus are already putting the feelers out to see if any club are willing to take him off their hands in the summer, as the chances are a permanent Chelsea move simply won’t happen.

Higuain with absolutely no effect on this match other than to complain when he doesn't get a pass.

It’s becoming something of a running joke as Higuain continues to flop, and the fans are desperate for kind of turn in form from the Argentine.
