Chelsea Captain John Terry has become the the nation’s moral punch bag. Wayne Bridge branded as a man wronged. There may be much to those championing both views. My own take is that all it took – for Bridge’s ex and ex she was, folks – was for the tart to keep her ankles in the same time zone. But I’m an old fashioned sceptic at heart.
Chelsea have been assailed by – and it has to be said – proven allegations of off field impropriety. Cheryl Cole being, incidentally a far more plausible victim than either Bridge or his tart of an ex.
