Jose Mourinho is displaying his desire to land the Argentine superstar which is why the Blues boss is proposing to offer him a mega six-year deal.
Punters believe that Mourinho is playing mind games after he branded the stories linking them with Messi as “obviously not true” back in November.
But since these comments were made, the speculation has grown whilst reports have suggested leading players at Barca are currently at war with their manager Luis Enrique.
To add fuel to the fire, Messi failed to turn up to training on Monday and Enrique failed to quash rumours that both he and his talisman had fallen out.
He said: “I neither confirm nor deny those reports. The things that are part of the team always remain in the changing room.
“I have the same relationship with all my players that I had at the start of the season. That has not changed.”
