Chelsea fans are still a little bit disappointed by their club’s actions in the January transfer window here in the Football Transfer Tavern and the latest news from the Daily Mail does not really cheer them up very much.
The publication claims that on loan midfielder Oriol Romeu is set to hold talks with Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho this summer and make a decision on his future.
The midfielder is currently spending time in La Liga on loan at Valencia and does harbour hopes of making a permanent return to Stamford Bridge – should Mourinho allow it.
One of our punters notes that it does not exactly look good, given the Blues have signed Nemanja Matic in the window just gone and also gotten rid of Kevin De Bruyne.
The on loan star spoke about his future and noted that it was still up in the air. He claimed: “I have no idea [what will happen in the summer]. I need to decide at the end of the season. Many things can happen.
“We will sit down and decide what is best for me to do.
“They are watching me and they are always telling me things. They are looking after me and that’s good.
“You never know what can happen, but they are looking after me.”
