The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern don’t want to lose any players before the summer window closes…
Antonio Conte has a very limited squad to play with, and he can’t afford to lose any players – regardless of how many he brings in.
Still, there is always a risk that a player may decide that he wants to move on – even at this late stage – and Antonio Conte must be wary of that. Unfortunately, then, the latest reports from Spain surrounding Eden Hazard will concern the fans in the Transfer Tavern.
According to Spanish publication OK Diario, Eden Hazard is still ‘dreaming’ of moving to Real Madrid, with the prospect of linking up with Los Blancos proving tempting to the attacker.
As Ok Diario report, a move for the Belgian at this point is close to impossible, and whilst Hazard might be keen to make it happen, the chances of that happening on deadline day are very unlikely.
Still, it’s a poor situation for the Blues, with the prospect of losing Eden Hazard at any point a very concerning idea.
Landlord’s Verdict
Chelsea simply cannot afford to lose Eden Hazard, particularly at this time.
Their squad depth is at a minimum as it is, and to lose their most important player would be a crushing blow.
A move categorically will not happen this summer, but there is a real chance of the Belgian looking to move on next summer – particularly if the Blues struggle this season.
It’s going to be a big season for Chelsea.
