The Daily Mail certainly have Chelsea and Manchester City fans looking rather disappointed as they seem to think that Lionel Messi has committed his long-term future to Barcelona.

The Argentine forward, who for many is the best player the footballing world has ever seen, had been linked with a move to the Premier League should he choose to end his very successful spell in Spain.

However, it seems that the Camp Nou has always been and will always be home for Messi.

This meant that only two clubs in England could have afforded him – Chelsea and Manchester City – who are the two battling it out for the title and are tied in every aspect at the top of the Premier League table, bar alphabetical order.
