Chelsea must give these 2 talented youngsters a chance next season – agreed?

Much has been made of Chelsea’s youth contingent. The Blues have one of the most impressive academies in all of Europe, with some of the best players in the world developing in-house at Stamford Bridge.

Many have been there since they were 7 or 8, and some join later on, but one thing is certain – the Chelsea academy offers the perfect opportunities for growth.

However, they can often struggle to go beyond that level. Chelsea don’t place much of an emphasis on youth development, and that needs to change.

Next season, then, perhaps it’s time for Chelsea to finally afford a chance to a few young players.

But who deserves that opportunity? Let’s take a look…

Tammy Abraham has enjoyed quite the rise over the last few years.

The Englishman stunned the Championship with his goals two seasons ago, and he adapted decently well to the Premier League last season with Swansea City.

Swansea struggled last term, and Abraham certainly wasn’t at his best, but he showed glimpses of his deadly form.

He’s got natural ability in front of goal, and he’s a brilliant goalscorer. Perhaps he deserves a chance at Chelsea.

Ethan Ampadu got a few chances at Chelsea last season, but he never really got an extended run in the team.

He’s arguably the crown jewel in Chelsea’s teenage group, and with good reason. The Welshman, who is able to play in both defence and midfield, has looked comfortable whenever he has played in blue.

His potential truly is limitless, and another loan would serve little purpose. He’s ready to make the leap to the first team.
