Chelsea continued their good form this season as they smashed four past a hapless Brighton side yesterday to continue their push for a top four spot in the Premier League.
The Blues have been putting in some good performances for manager Antonio Conte, and he will be hoping for a good run in the league and the Champions League in 2018, with the pressure for him to continue his success continuing to build around the Italian.
Here in the Tavern, our landlord has been having a good chat with some of the Chelsea fans this week, and they’ve come to a bit of a shared consensus that they club could do with going out and adding a player of real world class quality to the ranks.
One such player who fits that bill and could be open to a move to England is current Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann, who has once again been delivering some impressive performances Diego Simeone’s charges this term.
Greizmann is a player of supreme ability, and with Barcelona seemingly ruling themselves of the running to sign the Frenchman, it could well be time for Chelsea to swoop and complete what would be a big money move for the influential little forward.
Blessed with incredible technical ability and guile, Griezmann is like no other player at the Bridge, and with the potential for Eden Hazard to be on his way out of the club this summer, signing Griezmann could soften the blow somewhat for the Blues faithful.
