Chelsea should look to break the bank and sign this Brazilian superstar this summer

Chelsea will be looking to freshen things up this summer as they look to hold onto their Premier League title and also challenge for the Champions League under Antonio Conte.

The Blues romped home last year, but as any top team knows, they can’t afford to rest on their laurels, and Conte will know some big signings will be expected from the fans during the window.

Our landlord has once again been busy this week, and with the sun out he’s had chance to sit down with the Chelsea fans who frequent the Tavern and discuss just what could happen this summer in terms of additions.

One player who has been dropped into conversation this week is Bayern Munich star Douglas Costa, who has been getting linked with a move away from the German giants of late, in a somewhat surprising turn of events.

However, the Brazilian is a class act, and any top side in Europe would be silly not to want to add someone of his quality to their ranks. His ability to dribble off both feet and beat seemingly any defender makes him stand out, and he’s a genuine crowd pleaser when he plays.

Chelsea have attacking options in abundance, but the addition of someone like Douglas Costa could take them to the next level, and remove some of the pressure off Eden Hazard in wide areas.

Chelsea fans, what do you think to this then? Good choice? Let us know your thoughts in the comments!
