The Daily Express seem to have Chelsea fans in a bit of a spin here in the Football Transfer Tavern and Andre Schurrle is the man who has been causing all the commotion.

The German international forward has been linked with a January exit from Stamford Bridge and it seems that he has a fair bit to say about that!

Schurrle was writing on his blog and made it very clear that despite being injured, out of form and ill at times this season, there is no chance he will be leaving the Blues just yet.

He claimed: “Since my transfer in 2013, the long season (here there are no winter breaks), the great World Cup and the short pre-season, I’ve only had a little time to relax in between.

“Of course this quickly brings media to speculate about a transfer. But this is not an issue for me.

“I feel comfortable here and would not think of such a thing!”

Given Chelsea will be desperate to make sure they go into the New Year at the top of the Premier League table, we think that Schurrle could well get his chance to impress – and nail down regular first team opportunities at the club.
