Our Chelsea and Manchester United fans here in the Transfer Tavern are already exchanging jibes with each other ahead of their big FA Cup clash this weekend.
The two clubs have seen a growing rivalry over the last decade or so with the Blues becoming more and more a force in this country and so they are always keen to get one over the likes of the Old Trafford outfit.
They certainly did earlier on this season when they beat United 4-0 at Stamford Bridge – United’s last defeat in the league in fact.
Since, the Red Devils have been on a superb run of form but as is the hugely competitive nature at the top of the league they have actually remained in sixth place throughout.
That, then, was not lost on Chelsea’s media team in their preview of the game as they took the early initiative to strike at United – via Andy Ha on Twitter:
