‘Classy,’ ‘Nice touch’ - Newcastle, Brighton fans react to key man’s latest update

Our Newcastle and Brighton fans here in the Transfer Tavern have been engaged in a title race all season and it finally came to a crescendo yesterday afternoon.

Indeed, the two sides have been easily the best in the Championship all year and for many it was only going to be one of the two as to who took the title.

For the last few weeks, too, it had looked like Brighton were going to win the title but after some poor results in recent games, Newcastle managed to steal in and take the crown.

Both, of course, will be in the Premier League next season and that was the main thing but Brighton will feel as though they should have taken the title.

Indeed, it was only a late Jack Grealish goal that stopped Brighton from winning the league and, after the game, Seagulls ‘keeper David Stockdale was quick to post a magnanimous tweet.
