Aston Villa will be looking to seal promotion to the Premier League at the end of the season, but for the moment, our resident Villains are busy celebrating news of a fresh contract.
The Villans currently sit fourth in the Championship, however Steve Bruce will still hold out hope that they can get a place into the top-flight through the automatic spots – despite their slim chances.
The future, it seems, is looking very bright, and it’s shining brighter this afternoon following a recent announcement of a new contract over on the official Aston Villa Twitter page.

The 20-year-old’s contract was set to expire at the end of the season, however, it is clear that Bruce has seen enough of him to keep him for another year.
Taylor has played 11 games for the developmental side in the Premier League 2, and he has scored three goals and two assists. A versatile player, he is able to play as a striker or as a winger and could become useful in the first-team.
Clearly, with another year on his deal, he’ll be looking to force his way into Bruce’s plans next season.
Landlord’s Verdict
Villa fans in the Tavern will be pleased to see that they are keeping a highly-rated prospect at the club for another year, especially in a position that they lack suitable cover.
He’s not quite ready to start regularly in the first team, but a new deal does suggest that the club feel that the potential is there.
It will be interesting to see if he has much involvement during pre-season ahead of the next campaign.
