Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Conte definitely needs to be keeping tabs on these 2 American wonderkids

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern are big fans of the Blues’ youth recruitment policy…

Whilst most Premier League clubs take a measured approach to signing young players, the Blues do it somewhat differently. Often signing young players in bulk, it is not uncommon for the Blues to have over 40 young players on loan at any one time – and the majority of those come from foreign imports.

Chelsea’s policy has often been to sign talented players when they’re young for a good price, and if they are not good enough to make it in the Chelsea first team – they are normally sold at a hefty profit.

It has turned out well in the past, with the Blues scouring the market for players like Patrick Bamford, Kevin De Bruyne and Oriol Romeu and selling each individual on for a hefty profit several years later.

Given their success, it seems unlikely that Chelsea will change their tune in that way – and it might be time to start looking outside of the box. With a host of American youngsters making waves across Europe and beyond – it might be time for Conte to look at some young American stars.

With that said, Antonio Conte definitely needs to be keeping tabs on these 2 American wonderkids…

Christian Pulisic

Christian Pulisic is one of the more high-profile American youngsters, given that he is already playing for a top European side.

Currently turning out for Borussia Dortmund, Pulisic has impressed for the German giants.

A dynamic attacker, Pulisic’s pace and trickery would make him a nightmare for Premier League defenders.

Chelsea are pretty stacked in his position, but he could turn into quite the player if he is given the chance to learn from Eden Hazard.

 Justen Glad

Justen Glad is a very exciting American star, and like Chelsea man Matt Miazga, is a natural defender.

Currently playing for Real Salt Lake, Glad is able to play across the defence and is a regular in the MLS.

At just 19-years-old, he is raw and inexperienced, but with Conte’s defensive prowess – anything could happen.

The Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern would surely be glad to see him join the Blues
