It’s fair to say life is pretty sweet for the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern, considering the nature of their first campaign under the stewardship of Antonio Conte.
In fact, the only thing that is really a slight cause for concern has been the curious case of summer signing Michy Batshuayi, who has barely featured since joining from Marseille over the course of the close season. Which is why they weren’t at all surprised to read reports from the Daily Mirror.
They claim the Stamford Bridge giants are ready to sell the Belgian after a nightmare year in SW6 and, while some are disappointed, they understand things may not work out for the 23-year-old. However, reading further down the report, there’s been a cheer amongst our west London locals.
It’s further said that Conte is ready to include burgeoning forward Tammy Abraham in his squad next term, following his prolific loan stint with Bristol City. Though the Robins are currently fighting towards the wrong end of the Championship, England U21 international has bagged 18 goals at Ashton Gate thus far.
With developing youth players proving such a struggle in west London over the years, the Chelsea fans are delighted about the fact they look to have changed that process.
Will Abraham cut it for Chelsea? Let us know below..
