Conte keen on gifted 27-year-old in big January Chelsea move

It’s amazing how the mood amongst the Chelsea fans in the Transfer Tavern has changed ever since manager Antonio Conte reverted to a 3-4-3 system.

With the Blues now looking as if they could genuinely challenge for the title they so meekly surrendered last season, the west London locals are of course in good spirits again.

So, news emanating out of France have only served as further reasons to celebrate.

According to French Football Newsthe Stamford Bridge titans are lining up a January move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Javier Pastore in an effort to bolster their attack.

Though Conte already has a wealth of options from which to choose, the report claims the Argentine playmaker is certainly of interest.

The former Italy and Juventus coach is understood to have cast keen eyes over the 27-year-old earlier this summer and will know him very well following his stint with Palermo.

Pastore is also thought to have had offers from both China and Italy, though it is Chelsea who are said to be plotting a New Year move.

Able to operate either in a No.10 role, or drift out wide, he’s a gifted option to potentially add to an already fluid frontline.

Do Chelsea really need Pastore? Let us know below…
