Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern are counting down the days to the new season as they return to the Premier League after a campaign away.
Indeed, the Magpies will feel that they are back where they belong and the men from St. James’ Park certainly now need to sign some new players to ensure their return is as successful as possible.
Who comes in, then, remains to be seen but it does also seem as though they have some decent looking players coming through with young Adam Armstrong representing England at the U20 World Cup.
Indeed, he tweeted his delight at getting into the quarter-finals of the tournament and fans were certainly quick to respond to that so here is the best of what was said:
