After lifting the FA Cup last season, Crystal Palace look set to be raided this summer — with several of their key stars attracting interest from Europe’s elite.
Real Madrid are reportedly plotting a sensational swoop for Adam Wharton, while Eberechi Eze has admirers at Arsenal, Tottenham and beyond. Jean-Philippe Mateta is also said to be on Manchester United’s radar after his prolific finish to the campaign.
But the player Palace now appear almost certain to lose is Marc Guehi.
The England international is entering the final year of his contract, and while Palace previously rejected offers of over £60 million from Spurs and Newcastle, they’re now under growing pressure to cash in rather than risk losing him for free in 2026.
Liverpool are now seen as frontrunners, with Guehi said to be open to a move — providing he’s guaranteed a regular starting role under new boss Arne Slot.
Despite the likely departures, Palace are actively working to strengthen. Ousmane Diomandé is set to arrive from Sporting Lisbon in a £47 million deal, PSV goalkeeper Walter Benítez has already joined, and now the club is closing in on its next reinforcement.
Palace Nearing Deal for Borna Sosa

According to The Athletic, Crystal Palace are on the verge of signing Borna Sosa from Ajax for a fee of around £2 million.
The Dutch club has reportedly given the Croatian left-back permission to travel to the UK to undergo a medical on Monday.
Sosa, 27, spent last season on loan at Torino, making 20 appearances. He’s also made 25 appearances for Ajax since joining from Stuttgart in 2023 — where he notched 115 appearances across five seasons after arriving from Dinamo Zagreb.
He was a key part of Croatia’s squad that reached the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup, starting five of their six matches.
Renowned for his delivery and pinpoint crosses, Sosa’s left foot has drawn lofty comparisons. Former Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat once likened him to none other than David Beckham.
“Borna’s said himself that David Beckham is his role model, and I think he has the same qualities,” Mislintat told Bild. “He puts in crosses from every angle: sometimes chipped, sometimes drilled, sometimes flat, sometimes in behind, sometimes to the front post, other times to the back post. His left foot is a real weapon.”
David Beckham at Selhurst Park? Maybe not quite — but this might be the closest we get.
