The Newcastle fans in the Transfer Tavern have been suffering so far this window. The fans have recently read the news in The Chronicle claiming that the club will not be moving for either Salomon Rondon or Jordan Ayew, who were both relegated with West Brom and Swansea this season.

The Magpies will be hoping that at some point the club will add more reputable signings to their solitary piece of business so far this summer. The club opened the chequebook to bring in Martin Dubravka earlier in the window after the goalkeeper spent the second half of the season on-loan at St James’ Park. However, with the fans wanting the club to make more signings, they’ve been left disappointed by Mike Ashley.
The fans would have hoped that Ashley can make good on his promise of making funds available for Rafa Benitez, although so far it doesn’t look like this is the case. The Geordies would love to see the club bring in an out-and-out winger and a clinical goalscorer, but so far they’ve failed to make good on their interest in any players, including the likes of Rondon and Ayew, who the fans would have been disappointed in any way.

Judging from our not-so-cheery Geordies, St James Park looks like it could be a dull place this summer as the fans continue to suffer an abysmal transfer window.
