The Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are being very quiet today…

So much expectation was on the shoulders of Tottenham last night – but they duly failed to deliver on all counts.

With their Premier League form still not great, a solid Champions League showing could have been exactly what the Lilywhites needed to kick on – but it was not to be.

A 2-1 defeat to Monaco saw Tottenham exit the competition before their campaign had even really begun – and the Tottenham fans in the Football Transfer Tavern are absolutely devastated.

Not even a Harry Kane goal could save them, as Monaco quickly fired back to take the game to 2-1 – a scoreline that saw the Lilywhites exit the competition at the earliest possible stage.

Unsurprisingly, it’s not just the Tottenham fans in the Tavern that are disappointed with the result – with many fans around the world feeling that this defeat was a real missed opportunity from Pochettino’s men.
