The Newcastle United fans in the Transfer Tavern have enjoyed a wonderful campaign under Rafa Benitez and are oh so excited for a return to the Premier League next term.
With the Magpies at their lowest ebb this time last year, the ‘Rafalution’ has saved the barmy Toon Army and his work over the last 12 months or so has been celebrated both often and loudly in the Tavern.
Indeed, the former Liverpool and Real Madrid coach has rid the club of any bad eggs, with many of our resident Geordies believe the sale of Moussa Sissoko to Tottenham to be his best bit of business.
A hugely unpopular figure amongst the Newcastle fans who frequent in their droves, Sissoko’s struggles in north London have been enjoyed by the fans he let down so badly last season. So, recent comments from the 27-year-old claiming he’s ready to leave Hotspur Way after the worst season of his career have gone down a storm here tonight.
