After weeks of speculation in the Football Transfer Tavern, reports from Germany emerged earlier today suggesting that Mesut Ozil had signed a lucrative new long-term deal with Arsenal.
The news was immediately met with a huge cheer in the Tavern, given that the Arsenal fans in attendance see the German as a key part of any success that the Gunners will achieve in the years to come.
Whilst he made a slow start to this season, Ozil impressed against Chelsea and he is expected to continue his fine form as the season progresses.
