Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern are confident that their side will be going up next season, especially given their recent run of form.
Whilst their fleeting play-off hopes were probably finished off once and for all at the weekend with a draw against Burton, there can be no doubt that in the form the club has been in lately, they will be challenging next year.
Steve Bruce, then, needs to keep the momentum going over pre-season and into the start of 2017/18 whilst he also needs to ensure he keeps the club’s best players within the side.
Certainly, then, Jonathan Kodjia is one of those and, after responding to a fan’s tweet about his ability, fellow supporters were quick to urge him to stay for next season.
