The Magpies have been a huge disappointment so far this season as Rafa Benitez continues to struggle under minimal backing at St James’ Park.
Indeed, the Premier League club managed to bring in a number of players during the summer, so it’s safe to say that Rafa Benitez has a reasonable squad at his disposal. But, it’s all about whether the players can ensure the consistency that has gone missing so far this season.
Interestingly, the month of October may decide Newcastle United’s fate as they have the opportunity to climb up the table, but things could also go horribly wrong at the same time.
With that in mind, here is the dream October for the Magpies…
SALOMON RONDON RETURNS AND STARTS FIRING
Salomon Rondon joined on loan from West Bromwich Albion during the summer transfer window, with Dwight Gayle going the other way to the Hawthorns.
However, the forward has struggled to find his feet since returning to the Premier League, despite putting in a number of accomplished performances at the pinnacle of the attack.
So, Benitez will be praying that the South American starts banging in the goals for Newcastle United, as this could put them on course for a memorable October.
