Drop them: Allardyce must axe these 2 players from today’s starting Crystal Palace XI against Burnley

Sam Allardyce has come in and worked wonders at Crystal Palace over the past few months and the Eagles fans lining the bar here in the pub are delighted with what they’ve seen so far!

Palace have dragged themselves away from the relegation zone in recent weeks and thanks to some cracking results against some of the leagues biggest sides, a mid-tabled finish is certainly on the horizon.

But with another big game just around the corner this Saturday, Allardyce will need to make sure he gets his team selection right for the game against Burnley.

Our Palace-mad barman is confident his team can get a win but how will Allardyce line up his troops for another big game that could help see their season on a huge high?

With that in mind, here’s the two players we think Palace should drop from today’s starting XI against Burnley…

Jeffrey Schlupp

Jeffrey Schlupp has had a good few weeks in the Palace first-team but with the end of the season in sight, Allardyce has the chance to make some changes to his squad for the game against Burnley.

And one man some of the punters here in the Tavern would like to see come back into the first-team is Patrick van Aanholt, who provides a pacy and attacking in at full-back.

Martin Kelly

With Damien Delaney now back in the Palace first-team Martin Kelly might be best off taking his place on the bench having impressed during the win over Liverpool.

Burnley are a big, strong outfit and Delaney might be a hardier option in at the back than Kelly, despite his good showings in recent weeks.
