Steve Bruce has had a bit of an inconsistent time of things during his spell with Aston Villa so far, resulting in a playoff spot looking like it could be too far off for the club.
However, another win over Burton Albion today would give them a timely boost and may well give Villa fans a glimmer of hope that their impressive late run could prove fruitful.
Our landlord has been mixing it with the Villa fans this week over by the dartboard, with Villa fans in good spirits following an excellent run of form of late.
A lot of the talk has been about today’s game, and which players could find their place in the XI under threat.
With this in mind, here are TWO Aston Villa players who could be axed for today’s game with Burton…
Albert Adomah

Scott Hogan replaced Adomah in midweek and Steve Bruce might well opt to go with the big money January signing should he decide to shuffle his pack.
Adomah has been in decent form, but Hogan is desperate to get going for the Villans, and a game against lowly Burton could provide the ideal chance.
Mile Jedinak

With murmurings across numerous news outlets that Jedinak could be on his way out in the summer, Bruce could well begin the process of moving him out of his team.
That being said Jedinak has done little wrong of late, and if dropped he would find himself incredibly unlucky.
